Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild

We are a group of volunteers dedicated to making the search for our ancestors immigration easier. They grew out of a need to find ships’ passenger lists right here, on-line.

Immigrants to Canada
Emigration Information of the Nineteenth Century And Ships They Came On. Information on these pages has been extracted from various government records, as well as the odd shipping record (mostly from the Allan Line). It contains, voyage accounts, emigration information, lists of ships sailing to Canada, information on the ports, and on the people.

Immigration Records & Passenger Lists
Passenger lists constitute the official record of immigration in this period. They contain information such as name, age, country of origin, occupation and intended destination of passengers. The records are arranged by port and date of arrival, with the exception of the years 1923 to 1924, and some of those for 1919 to 1922, when an individual Form 30A was used.
